- Pack a lamp or some type of mini clamp on light to use in the room. Many hotel rooms do not have adequate lighting.
- Carry a 3-prong adapter plug. Some hotel outlets are only 2-prong.
- Check the phone ringer in your room to make sure it is on or you will miss your wakeup calls.
- Carry a windup alarm clock. If the power goes out, not only will it mess up an electric alarm clock, most hotel wake up calls are on automatic systems that will get knocked out also.
- If you have room, carry orange cones in your vehicle to mark your parking spot for your truck and your boat.
